Traceability

Traceability for us is not only a label. It is about being able to explain in simple terms where products come from, how they were aggregated and what checks were carried out along the way.

Approach

From community to shipment

We structure our sourcing around identifiable communities, aggregation points and shipment units. Each step leaves a trace in our internal documentation.

1. Community identification
Mapping of producer groups, locations and partners.
2. Batch aggregation
Grouping products into batches with internal codes.
3. Quality & logistics
Recording quality checks and movements up to the port.

Example batch lookup

What we can share with buyers

The level of detail depends on the product and the type of sourcing relationship. In general we can share:

  • Regions and type of communities involved.
  • Batch-level dates (harvest windows, aggregation periods).
  • Overview of quality checks and any lab analysis available.
  • Process notes (fermentation, drying, storage conditions).

We are also happy to discuss what is realistically possible to integrate into your own traceability or storytelling systems.
